for the Scarritt renovations. "Because of the previous work that
Goens Brothers Painting, Inc. had done in the Scarritt Building, they
were the perfect contractor for the ball room project."
The Scarritt Complex in downtown Kansas City, is characteristic of a
Chicago skyscraper. The Scarritt Building at Ninth and Grand and its
sister building, the Scarritt Arcade at Ninth and Walnut, reflect the
most opulent and sophisticated archi-
tecture of the twentieth century. It is no surprise that Goens
Brothers was chosen for this endeavor.
